One, how is a tag team from one show going to properly defend the belts from another show. And number two, how is Mister Money in the Bank going concentrate enough to pick his spot when he has the added distraction of a tag team championship match.
The answer to the second question first, not very well. C.m. Punk has had a rough way to go since winning the brief case losing more then his fair share of singles matches against people he needs to beat in order to have any kind of shot at any kind of belt. And know you factor in the fact that your tag team partner is one of those belt holder and is a man that in no way shape can be trusted and you have a situation that well lets just say that punk has painted himself into a very tight corner. Case in point , has loss last night to the Miz in the opener.
Next up is a six diva tag match that has Kelly Kelly , Cherry , and Michelle Mcool go up against Layla, Victoria ,and newcomer baby anvil Natalya Niedhart . This exercise in futility has but one real purpose , T.V. time for Cherry and the newcomer Niedhart. The match itself was nothing to write home about and Cherry got the pin with a bulldog. While I have said this before, it still bears repeating . The completion's TNA Knockout Division far and away blows the WWE divas out of the water in in ring ability and character development.
And now , to the pointless pursuit of putting a jobber like Colin Delany on T.V. to get his ass kicked on a weekly basis. The whole beating Estrada thing last week was a somewhat nice moment, but the whole storyline is getting really old and stale. He doesn't have a wrestlers body he cant really take a bump or a fall, and the underdog angle is really wearing thin.
And know to the main event . Kane against the Shaman of sexy John Morrison, still locked in that idiotic lizard king gimmick . The match itself was very competitive and they're making a point of really working on Kane's leg but the thing that troubles me the most is I think they're setting up a storyline where Punk will go against Kane and that just doesn't really work on so many levels. Punk is on his way up and needs to be on another show. Kane I think is a very good fit for ECW and should explore some of the more darker elements of his character.
Well that's it for Tuesday, my next post will hopefully be done by Saturday morning. I don't know how much TNA I will cover but we'll see.
