C.M. Punk was to decide if he would face Mark Henry or Big Daddy V. He left that decision to Matt Striker, and Striker left it to a coin toss.
In the end, the ECW Champion had to deal with them both and need help from the Big Red Machine.
Henry won the coins toss, and tried to wear down Punk with multiple body blocks and his vice grip to the neck.
Punk saw his chance when he ducked away from Henry's charge into the corner. But just as he was preparing to attack, V came into the ring, and the two giants double-teamed him with the Worlds Strongest Slam and V's fireman's carry slam.
The assault stopped only when Kane appeared and chased Henry and V out of the ring with a steel chair.
The Major Brothers tried to tried to isolate one of the WWE Tag Team Champions, but John Morrison and the Miz got the win anyway.

Bret's whipping Morrison into the corner knocked Brian off the apron, but he was till able to go for a rollup that Morrison kicked out of. Morrison then knocked Bret into the ropes and hit a corkscrew neckbreaker to finish Bret off.
- Balls Mahoney and Kelly Kelly have been friends for some time. They now proved they can also be good tag team partners, as they defeated Kenny Dykstra and Victoria.
Victoria tried to wear down Kelly with numerous submission holds, but she endured long enough to bring in Mahoney in the mixed match. Dykstra grabbed Mahoney by both arms and tried to let Victoria get a cheap shot, but Kelly intercepted her with a reverse victory roll. Mahoney then got an inside cradle to pin Dykstra.
- Shelton Benjamin easily handled Jimmy Wang Yang to remain unbeaten on ECW.
Yang's only attempt at offense turned into Benjamin's victory. After Yang broke out of a suplex attempt and knocked his foe down with a flying kick, he went to the top corner. But Benjamin caught Yang's leap with a knee to the gut and then hit a leaping DDT for the win.
- It's said all Kevin Thorn thinks about is inflicting pain. He inflicted plenty on Jeff Lewis.
Thorn's assault included a knee to the back, a flying slam from the corner and a springboard legdrop from the rope before finishing Lewis off with a backbreaker from his shoulders.
