All weapons were legal between Kane and Big Daddy V in their Extreme Rules match. But it was another body that allowed Big Daddy to beat Big Red again.
The two giants, who have feuded since the SmackDown/ECW talent exchange began, used multiple weapons throughout the match. Kane tried to take out V's legs with a Singapore cane and crush his neck within a steel chair. V slammed Kane into a wooden table standing in a corner. Street signs and the ring steps were also used.
Kane looked to gain the advantage after hitting V in the head with a garbage can. But then Mark Henry came out and the double team began.
Henry held onto Kane while V smashed another garbage can against his head. The two both headbutted him, sandwiched him between their massive bodies, and slammed him together through another table. That finally allowed V to get the pinfall.
- Kelly Kelly defeated Layla with some spirited help from Balls Mahoney.
Layla had the upper hand for most of the match, at one time stepping on Kelly's hair and throwing her into a corner.
But when Mahoney came out and began cheering on Kelly, it appeared to boost her confidence, and she snuck in a rollup on Layla to get the win.
- John Morrison and The Miz knew they would have to focus on Jesse to beat him and Festus in their tag team match, and they ultimately did.
Festus dominated the Tag Team Champions when he was in the ring, and neither one wanted anything to do with him (Miz even refused to tag in at one point). He may, however, have caused his team to lose in the end.
When Morrison broke up Jesse's pin on Miz after Festus threw him onto his opponent, Festus tried to chase Morrison out of the ring but was stopped by the referee. The distraction allowed Morrison to snap Jesse's neck against the ring from outside, and Miz rolled him up for the pin.
- Shelton Benjamin called himself the “gold standard” in ECW. His 2-0 record since arriving may be his best evidence.
Benjamin, who came over from RAW last week at the request of Elijah Burke, dominated SmackDown's Shannon Moore for almost the entire match and even showed he could improvise in the end.
After Moore slipped out of his attempted airplane spin, Benjamin quickly turned it into a DDT to get the win.
