Spade was wrestling with a purpose early, swarming Cujo with move after move, nearly putting an early coda on the bout with a big top rope cross body block. The high-speed arsenal would nearly cost Spade, though, as Cujo would counter an attempted huaracarana by Spade with a powerbomb, opening the door for the big man to try and take control.
A comeback by Spade would result in a superkick, followed by the Spadeton, making it look like for all intensive purposes, the match was over. That wasn't far off the mark, as Felony Foxx would then attack Spade, drawing the disqualification loss for Cujo. Miss Holly Wood, of course, had something to say about this, and the two women quickly wound up nose to nose in the ring. While it didn't meet up to the catfight standards I'm sure the fans had in mind, Miss Holly Wood wasn't in the mood for more shady tactics, knocking Foxx from the ring.
Winner of the Match: "Smooth" Johnny Spade, by disqualification
It's a shame that Commissioner Chris Alexander doesn't get frequent flier miles for his trips from the back to ringside. At the rate he was going tonight, he should have been able to fly to the moon for what would have to be a hard-earned vacation trying to keep order in CCW. Upon hearing Spade's challenge involving getting the ladies into the ring, Alexander ordered a mixed tag team match for next Tuesday! It'll be hard to determine who will be the more combustible element in that match, Spade and Cujo, or Miss Holly Wood and Felony Foxx, but either way, I doubt the fans will come away from that one disappointed.
Main Event: CCW Tag Team Championship - The Fat N The Furious (Jack Black and Vito Andretti) (c) defending against The Brute Squad (K-Lo and Guido Andretti), accompanied by Randy Royal:
I've been touting this match for a few weeks now, and the moment had arrived - The Brute Squad were challenging for the CCW Tag Team Titles. They have made a statement since arriving in CCW, and this time, they'd be facing off with The Fat N The Furious looking to take the final step up the tag team ladder in Classic Championship Wrestling. With Randy Royal at ringside, you couldn't help but call this even odds for "The Illustrious" K-Lo and Guido Andretti.
Bringing the sell-out house to its feet as they made their entrance, the FNF looked to leave Portland in a familiar manner, with the tag belts draped over their shoulders. The match itself started out a back-and-forth affair, as neither team was able to build any kind of solid momentum, showing how much preparation went into the plannign for this match. K-Lo was finally able to break through with an eye rake on Vito, allowing the challengers to establish a big lead, thanks in no small part to some interference from Randy Royal on the outside. Cutting the corner off, Guido and K-Lo ran Vito Andretti through the wringer, frustrating Jack Black, trapped on the outside taking more cheap shots than near-tags.
Perhaps telegraphing his legdrop from the top rope, K-Lo soon found himself helpless on the canvas as Vito finally managed to make the tag to the big man, who promptly started steamrolling both members of The Brute Squad. The confusion in the ranks wouldn't last long, however, as Royal would snag one of the title belts from the announce position (although he did say he was only borrowing it), sliding in the ring and assaulting both FNF members with it, drawing the DQ loss for his partners.
Winners of the Match: The Fat N The Furious, by disqualification, retaining the CCW Tag Team Championship
The attack would bring out CCW Commissioner Chris Alexander yet one more time, as he ordered an immediate rematch for this Saturday night! While the Brute Squad mentioned something about 'being sick,' I'm sure Vito and Jack have a cure in mind for them once the bell rings on this big-time championship grudge match!
