Surfing is a very original and challenging sport. Surfing can be done on various pieces of material. From heavy wood boards; to recent light graphite boards. Up until the 1940s most boards weighed close to 100 pounds, and were much harder to maneuver on the waves. Now a day, Surfing has evolved into a very competitive sport. There are many surfing competitions all over the globe, for people young and old.

All of these things you need to be aware while surfing, but still you have to remember to have fun.
