Dealing with Pain in Sports

In sports, you have to suffer to improve and there is no way around it. Arnold Schwarzenegger said that the champion is the one who supports the most pain, and he had those crazy muscles. See some tips on how to digest some pain.

Pain is sports in inevitable, it's a sign you are improving and a LOT. Lance Armstrong says that pain can last one day or one month and maybe even one year but it will heal. The very first time you try anything new, such as riding your bike for example, the next day you will be completely sore and hurt, it's bad if you are not, it's a sign you improved nothing.

Some people who take sports to the extreme like to devitalize some nerves to feel no pain. That is very bad and expensive as well.

To deal with pain you only have to keep your eyes on your goal, on the great achievement you are trying to accomplish. If you like to ride your bicycle like I do, just keep the eyes on the amount of kilometers you want to ride that day. Never take your eyes of the goal, it's like taking the eyes of the ball if you are playing football.

The more it huts, the bigger the improvement is. Actually pain starts to feel good after a certain point, just like heat starts to feel cold sometimes. Unless you are a sensitive guy, you will love the experience. Just don't go crying to your mom.

After the intense exercise it's a good idea to stretch all your muscles properly or you risk an injury from not stretched muscles. My sister already went to the Hospital several times because of that, so take care!

Vitamins and minerals are a must specially BEFORE the exercise. When you need them the most of before so your body absorbs all the nutrients it need to perform perfectly. Drinking water too late increases the pain and the soreness as well. Never stop drinking and don't start drinking only when you are thirsty because that's when it's too late.

I guarantee you that after all that pain you will feel much better and all brand new. Pain in sports is good for you!

Cycling is in my opinion one of the most demanding exercises a person can practise because of the amount of effort required in the long run. However keep in mind that bicycle alone is not good enough to maintain a perfect body.
