English students in Wales are being forced to return home to cheer Wilkinson and the boys “fight to death” after Welsh fans poison the atmosphere for English supporters.
A group of students studying at Glamorgan University, based in Cardiff, have vowed to return to England to watch their team battle it out in the World Cup Final; after shocking behaviour from patriotic Wales's supporters during the semi-finals.
The students went out anticipating a good night cheering for a Great British team while enjoying a pint a lager and some over the top cheering, but instead the students found their night was ruined after Welsh fans polluted the atmosphere with bad vibes by booing and causing uproar when England scored, while loudly making comments about the performance of England's players.
Hollie Davis, aged 21, joined her friends down The George Pub, in Roath, for last Saturday's Semi-Final against France but found the chanting and booing so frustrating that she returned home to watch the second half in peace. Hollie, who studies Graphic Design, said “I'm all for a good bit of banter but the Welsh just take it too far and it becomes irritating rather than the sociable night out it is suppose to be. We don't want the World Cup Final to be ruined so we're going to pop across the bridge where we know we'll get a warm welcome with our red and white flag”.
Phil Vickery, who has an oriental tattoo on his shoulder that roughly translates “I will fight you to the death”, will lead the England squad out onto the pitch this Saturday against South Africa. Lisa Shelton, a Sport-Science student from Derby said “I don't understand why the Welsh want England to lose so much. I guarantee they will spend the whole rugby game chanting for South Africa, not because they support them just out of pure spite towards us English.”
Stacey Aykroyd, a Welsh barwoman at The George said “The pub was rammed with English for the semi final match and of course there was banter but it was friendly. A few locals were sulking at the end of the game but we're not expecting any bad behavior for the final”
