Ever wonder what the young kids of today, want to do in there future? What about you, did you know?
Every kid, dreams of getting far in professional sports. As my son, he is very dedicated to hockey, he goes to the gym 6 out of 7 days and trains with the best trainers of our town. All this for what? Nothing!
The chances of our kids, from small communities, to make professional sports are slim. Although I support my child a lot. I know he wont make the NHL. Why, well because there are no scouts in my region. Why? Because I live in a small community and nobody pays attention to 2-3 kids that actually know more about hockey then some kids elsewhere. Wouldn't it be a dream to be proud of. Making the best sport, up to the professional level?
There are plenty of junior “A” teams around but most people are 20+ years old, people who didn't make the NHL. For this reason the scouts don't watch them. And hundreds of kids end up being a mail man or another employment that, they never wanted to do.
92% of the National hockey league players, come from big communities. Which means 8% from small villages.
There are only a hand full of people like this, Jordan Toutou, Sidney Crosby, and others.
All that was to say, why don't we give kids in small communities a chance to be part of history. You never know what record they will set.
