Back flips are seriously impressive. This small tutorial will help you understand the fundamentals.
There are 3 parts to doing a backflip.
- The jump
- The tuck
- The flip
Practise bending your knees, then throwing your arms up in the air and jumping as high as you can.
- Jump straight upward. (not back) .
- Lean your body backward and tuck your knees to your chest
- Your weight will bring your body upright if you have enough height
- Bend your knees as you land
Take note
- Practise on sand
- If you cant get enough height, practise on the trampoline
- If you are scared of going over backwards, practise in the pool. (In the pool, jump backwards to avoid hitting your head)
Caution
- Backflipping is a high risk trick, so be safe, and don't push your mental limits
- There is a chance you can get serious concussion, or break your neck and get paralysed. Don't let this scare you, as if you jump high enough there is NO chance of this happening.
