The first lure on my top two lists is the Joe Yee super plunger. Any one or color does the job swims well anywhere but I have found its best in the left short position I can tell you how many fish we have caught on that lure in that spot. If I could take a guess its about 20-30 fish. Yay that's a lot.
My story with this lure is: One day I was out with a charter and the captain told me to put the super plunger on the left short. So I did and I climbed back up the ladder and I look at the right short and then I glanced over at the left short and saw a big dark shadow. This fish had to be at least 900lb from the size of the shadow. We missed the fish but I guess that shows how good the lure is in my mind with bringing up the fish.
My second lure is the "Big T Dingdan Express". This lure that we run looks like crap but, it seemed to work this summer with bringing the fish. Most of the time it brought two up. I think we only caught 2 fish this summer on this lure, but it did work I did not keep the fish on, but it helped give us some action. The average size fish that I thought I saw that came up to it was like 500lb, which is a good size. We run this lure in the right short its looks and swims very well there.
You may ask why I only did two lures. Well those are the two that belong on every marlin fishing boat, or any fishing boat. You may ask where am I from. Well I am from Bermuda and we have great fishing out here. And if you have not fished here get down here during the summer and come catch a big one. We are not really know for blue marlin we catch a day but are size we catch about 3 ganders a year (That's a 1000 pound marlin).
