Shane Warne was born on the 13th of September, 1969.
Commonly known as “Warney”, he was an all-time great Australian Leg-spinner. He began leg spinning at a test cricket level in 1992, and finished his test cricket on an amazing 708 wickets. His took his first wicket against Ravi Shastri, from India.
Overall, he took over 1,000 international wickets when playing at international level. At the moment, Shane plays for Hampshire as the captain, though he is expected to retire at the end of the season in 2008.
In August 2005, he was crowned the first ever bowler to take 600 test wickets.

While having a terrific on-field career, his off field wasn't too good. In Feburary 2003, Shane Warne was sent home prior of the World Cup due to testing positive to a banned diuretic.
That wasn't the end of it though. He was caught cheating on his former wife with another woman whilst on the tour in South Africa.
That did not stop him, on the 1st of April it was presumed that he and his wife were back together. But September that year, he then accidentally sent a text message, meant to be to another woman, to his wife Simone.
But they are only the bad parts of his wonderful career.
Shane Warne was very well known as “The best bowler in history”.
