As a Laker hardcore fan I hate to say this but Kobe Bryant will not stay with the Lakers unless a huge miracle accurse. I personally do not blame him because his reasoning isn't bad. First of all Buss the owner of the Lakers lied to him by saying that they would build a championship caliber team to surround him, but three/four years later the Lakers cant even make it past the first round of the playoffs.
Second it isn't that hard to realize that Buss is in the stage of rebuilding the team not making a championship team. Buss in the last two years of the draft has taken a guard which was one position they wanted to improve by getting a veteran, so he goes and gets another young guard.
Derek Fisher as great as he is he won't make them a championship team. Last season before the All-star weekend they offered Jason Kidd for Andrew Bynum, I understand that those hardcore Laker fans will say it would be a dumb move but it would definitely make them a team to be reckoned with. After that there were a lot of veterans in the free agent pool that would help and possibly get very far into the Playoffs. The last reason is the East seems like such a great place to play with if you are after a championship.
Ask yourself why does Kobe want to go with the Chicago Bulls? The answer I believe isn't to complicated, after watching Lebron James single handedly made it into the Finals, so Kobe+ a team with good players = Finals.
Especially in the East where there isn't too much challenge compared to the west were he himself brought his team to the playoffs. Just imagine a back court consisting of Kirk Hinrich and Kobe then in the front Ben Wallace and Luol Deng, a very strong team. So the way I see it Lakers want it, Kobe wants it, and the Chicago Bulls want it so it's just trying to find the players to trade.
But never worry the Lakers might not be a threat if Kobe leaves for a couple of years but once Andrew Bynum, Javaris Crittenton, and Jordan Farmar mature and become real NBA players the Lakers will once again be great. Lakers for Life!
