Wednesdays NBA Action: Rondo is the PG for Celts

A little rundown of the Pistons-Celts. Why Rondo should be forever the celts PG and why Shaq is the demise of phoenix.

Who needs another point guard!

Since the NBA season started all I've heard are various spins of these sentiments

“Rajon Rondo can't play against physical guards.”

“The Celtics need another point guard to make it to the Finals because the second year man isn't enough”

“Can the Celtics trust Rondo to deliver for their Big Three?”

If you were echoing these sentiments (Bill Simmons), after last night, it should all be put to rest. Rondo checked Chauncey Billups all night long, granted there were a few plays where Billups threw Rondo to the side like a rag doll, but that's okay. Billups got 23, but shot a horrendous 4 for 12 from the field. Meanwhile, while Rondo didn't fair much better, he seemed to have full control over his team for the majority of the game, while the Pistons often looked in disarray, as evidenced by their 25% from behind the arc.

(Note: I work graveyard and I stayed up the whole night to watch this game. I'm nuts right now. I'm about a Monster away from going out and robbing a bank.)

Simply put: In the East. The Celtics are the team to beat. Unless this man has something to say about it.

Lebron james is a beast

He is the only player in the East capable of beating every team on his own. He's developing a jumper, he can't be stopped from going to the basket, and the scariest part of all: He's starting to develop that mean streak. Against Chicago, LeBron, as he puts it, ripped the heart out of the Bulls in the 4th quarter of that game. Next game, he not only hangs 50 on the Knicks in the Garden. HE CALLS IT. He tells Spike Lee he's going for 50 while he has 34 and 1 min left in the 3rd. Absolutely insane. I would't be surprised if LeBron set records for points per game in every single series in the playoffs. He is hell bent on getting back to the Finals after that taste last year.

But…

He won't make it this year. Not unless the Pistons starting 5 come down with a case of egotism, and the Celtics have Garnett and Allen come down with food poisoning during Game 7 of the Eastern Semis. Sorry LeBron, you'll have to wait til next year. Speaking of next year…

Dallas or phoenix will not make the playoffs this year

After making panic trades to stay within distance of my beloved Lakers, both of these teams have seen marginal success, or not much success at all. I'm betting that one of these teams does not make the playoffs and I'm gonna go with….

Phoenix has 21 games remaining and is sitting 6th at 41-20. 16 of their remaining 21 are against playoff teams or teams fighting for the playoffs. They have to win at least 16 of those to have a chance at the 8th seed. I don't see Denver or Golden State going anywhere and I believe that Jason Kidd did not come to Dallas to not make the playoffs.

The big thing with Phoenix is the Big Shaqtus. He is the complete opposite of this team. He forces the team to play four on five on offense when they run which leaves 2 men guarding Nash. When he does receive the ball the whole offense grinds to a halt. Their window of opportunity just slammed shut. Look at how Denver ripped them apart last night. It wasn't even close.

Steve Kerr better start sending out his resume because if Phoenix does not make the playoffs this move will be the single worst move of this decade. Even worse than the Gasol heist. (At least Chris Wallace got back some picks and an expiring deal) If this is a video game, you make this deal. Not real life.

If I was David Stern; I would erase all of those other teams from Eastern division off from NBA. Look at the eastern standings; there would be teams that would get into the playoff and half of the eight teams should not be in there. Or should not make it to the playoffs. Cleveland will make it to the playoffs and make it to the finals. Who can guard Lebron? The best player there is beside him is Kobe and he don\'t want nothing to do with him. He is in the west so, who in the east that can stop this \"beast?\"

He is so deadly even more scarier than Michael Jordan; because, this man can flat out pass. So, there is no double teaming the man. Well, to be honest they need to put all five of the starting lineups on him and he still may dunk on them all. Ha ha ha it cracks me up to be even thinking about what is going to take place.

The only way they can be stop him is physically injuring him and if they do that NBA will lose all lot of money. Like opposing team fans went to see Michael, Magic and Larry perform not their home team. I see that with Lebron as well. People fly to state to state just to go root for him and they not even from Cleveland? I bet you, people from China likes him more than Yao! Yao knows it and I bet you he likes him more than himself? lol

There is no one that can stop this man and we seen it at last eastern championship when they played against Detroit Pistons (My favorite team); which showed that whatever game plan you bring I will dunk on them all. He will do the same against Magic and what is his name, Howard I think he is not the best big man and he cannot block his dunks or his layups. Last couple of years he was just learning how to shoot jump shots (Lebron) now he is unstoppable. Hopefully, he can better his free-throws. Forget the stats, just make them in when it counts. I think he has been learning how to adjust in different situations.

People criticize him for living games before it ends; which shows you just how much of love he has for winning and I admire him for wanting that for himself. I do not see that same intensity with other players and he is already a veteran in his young NBA career. He is Michael and Magic all in a one suit; how dangerous is that? Cleveland has new players, who can come in and would be a great fit in the remaining of this year. They have a good players, such as: Big Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Varejao and now they added Big Ben Wallace with the mix. They picked up a great player of Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West and Joe Smith. It is surprising how Lebron does not make the money that he is worth. I think he should be the one who gets paid the most. There it shows how he is not in it for money but teh love for the game.
