How to Jump Higher

Want to jump higher? Check this out to train to jump higher and increase your vertical leap. Jumping higher can help you in sports, work, and everyday activities.

Jumping is a very useful skill. Having hops can help you in sports, work, and daily activities. The steps below will help you increase your vertical leap, gain more stamina in the legs, and run faster. You should do these exercises once every two days to let your muscles heal after heavy exercise.

Steps

  1. Stretch! It is the most important part of any exercise. You don't wanna go and start exercising right away because there is always a chance to get injured. Stretching reduces this chance of injury.
  2. Start with 50 calf raises on your first day. Raise it by 25 each time you do this. So you do 50 calf raises on your first day, 75 on your second, 100 on your third, etc. Keep doing this once every two days until you reach 1000 calf raises. To do a calf raise, stand up straight with your feet flat on the ground. Raise up to your toes, just like tiptoeing. Then lower slowly back on the ground. Each calf raise should take about 2 seconds.
  3. Do some squats. Do 50 squats and raise by 10 each time you do this. So you do 50 on your first day, 60 on your second, 70 on your third, etc. Keep doing this until you reach 500 squats.
  4. Jump up and down for as long as you can. This will also help you jump higher.
  5. Sit against a wall. Do this for about 1 minute, and increase it by 10 seconds every time.

Tips

  1. Don't slack off
  2. Rest for 2 to 3 minutes between sets if you choose to do sets.
  3. Don't use ankle weights
  4. Don't push yourself too hard
  5. Play sports, they will help you get fit and lose weight to jump higher.

Nice article. A couple things I'd add to this article would be to do these exercises every two days (not everyday) to let your muscles heal after the workout. Also intake plenty of protein. Such as low carb protein bars and drinks, even baked chicken/turkey breasts has lots of protein. Then you'll definetly notice a big difference in just a few weeks when you jump.
