This could become a reality with talk that he is being sought after by the struggling New York Knicks franchise and is looking even more plausible with the November 21st trade of Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Los Angeles Clippers for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley. A couple of days earlier the Knicks also dealt their top player in recent seasons Jamal Crawford to the Golden State Warriors for forward Al Harrington leaving only the bench warming Stephon Marbury still at the Knicks with a sizable contract to get rid of. Joe Dumars seems to have played his cards right though as Marbury's $21 million contract becomes void at the end of this season also. (LeBron James)
So how does trading pretty much all of the Knicks frontline players' away help LeBron win a championship? He can't do it with the likes of Nate Robinson, David Lee and Chris Duhan alone can he? No he can't but the Knicks will have freed up so much cap space with the departure of Marbury and the recent trades, they can afford at least one other top 30 player. Not coincidently Dywane Wade is also of contact next year along with Chris Bosh who all signed three year contacts in the hope of at least two of them joining each other at the same franchise. Right now, this looks highly likely in New York. German former NBA MVP Dirk Nowitzki is off contact at that time too and has surely had enough of his up and down Dallas Mavericks.
Will LeBron's championship dream become a reality in the near future? It's highly likely and just a matter of time. Which other NBA superstar joins him at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple remains up in the air.
